I started my accounting firm in 2010, three weeks before our first son was born.

I was confident I could build something on my own terms but I did not fully understand what it would demand.

Over the next decade, I grew the firm into a multi-million-dollar practice. We hired, scaled, raised prices, made mistakes, and learned.

In June 2023, we sold the firm.

The sale was a milestone but what shaped me more than the exit was the journey: the pressure of growth, the weight of leadership, the constant tension between opportunity and burnout.

I learned that growth alone does not build a better firm, intentional decisions do.

Today, I work with accounting firm owners who want to build better firms without losing themselves in the process.
